The Caribbean is a tropical paradise, made up of more than 700 island nations, islets, reefs, and cays. The region is rich in history, dating back to the age of exploration with Christopher Columbus. Each island nation has a unique history and culture that transcends to the different aspects of what you will experience when visiting today.
Choices abound in this region. From white sand beaches in Anguilla to black sand beaches in St Lucia and St Kitts, unbelievable diving in the Cayman Islands or in The Bahamas, to historic landmarks in Puerto Rico and Nevis, the Caribbean has something for everyone.
The Caribbean is renowned for having some of the most desirable climate on the planet. Temperatures usually range between 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit year round. There are few extremes and rain can be quite predictable, except of course in the case of a storm. Hurricane season ranges from June-November. The best time to visit the Caribbean is generally considered to be December to April. It’s slightly cooler and less humid, but you will encounter throngs of tourists trying to escape the northern winter. May to November can be quite rainy.
Generally speaking, the best time to visit the Caribbean will vary depending on your interests, budget and island. May to June and late November to mid December offer cheaper rates and fewer crowds, while still allowing for good weather.
